Network Programmer

Job description

We’re looking for a highly collaborative, passionate and skilled Network Programmer that can support our teams and implement online features on our various projects, ranging from online awareness features to full cross-platform multiplayer support.

Essential Requirements

• You have at least 3 years of previous experience as a programmer in the games industry or a related industry.
• You have up to date knowledge of online gaming technologies.
• You have a pragmatic, hands-on problem solving mentality.
• You are proficient in C++ and other applicable programming languages.
• You aim to design and write well-structured, readable, and maintainable code while demonstrating a good understanding of code performance and complexity.
• You have strong debugging skills.
• You work well in a team and on a large code base.
• You have good communication skills in written and spoken English.
• You work well in an environment with deadlines and milestones.

Plusses

• (Native) Dutch speaker.
• You have experience with low level networking APIs.
• You have experience with cloud development and Infrastructure (AWS, AZURE, GCP).
• You have good knowledge of server-client and P2P based networking.
• You have good knowledge of the behavior and impact of network latency.
